Solar + battery for shared buildings

Affordable Community Electricity

Cleaner energy.
No installation cost.
Lower bills for the whole bulding

Verdi Link puts solar and battery power on multi-unit strata buildings — so every home shares in cleaner, cheaper energy, with no upfront cost.

How Verdi Link works

Technology By UNSW and VOLTVAL

UNSW and VOLTVAL develop the Modular Power Portal System (MPPS) and supply it to Verdi Link.

Fitted by installers

We provide the materials to accredited installers, who fit solar and battery systems to your building.

Energy for the building

The system generates and stores clean energy that flows to the building’s occupants.

Everyone benefits

Occupants buy that energy from Verdi Link at a lower cost than the grid, and installers get paid for every job.

Traditional solar
VS
MPPS

On most buildings, rooftop solar only powers the common areas — hallways, lifts and car parks. Individual units see little or none of it.

MPPS CHANGES THAT
Watch how MPPS works

A closer look at how one rooftop system delivers clean, shared power to a whole building.

Traditional solar

Common areas only

Rooftop solar typically feeds just the building’s shared areas. Individual lots stay on full-priced grid power, and any solar that isn’t used in the moment is wasted.
MPPS + storage + solar

Power shared across every lot

Solar and battery storage are intelligently split across the whole building — common areas and every individual lot — so far more of the clean energy is actually used, and everyone can benefit.

Applying MPPS

Large, empty rooftops turned into clean energy for the whole building.

The Technology
The technology behind MPPS — designed and built by VOLTVAL, with UNSW Sydney and Trailblazer Recycling & Clean Energy.
Built for real buildings

Every rooftop is
untapped clean energy

From apartment towers to warehouses and mixed-use blocks, large roofs sit empty while the building below pays full grid prices. MPPS puts that space to work for the whole community.

Why Verdi Link

Solar that finally works for
shared buildings

Multi-unit buildings and strata communities have long been left out of the rooftop-solar boom. We’re built to change that.

No upfront cost

Owners avoid the capital outlay. Verdi Link funds and owns the system.

Built for strata

Designed to solve shared roofs, shared costs and shared benefits.

One connected network

Installer, building and resident, coordinated end to end.

Cleaner grid

More local renewable energy and lower emissions for every building.

Frequently asked questions

Is there any upfront cost to me?

No. There’s no equipment to buy and nothing installed inside your lot. You only pay for the clean energy you actually use and there are no daily service (supply) charges on your MPPS usage.

No — connecting is entirely your choice, and there’s no lock-in. Signing up works like registering with an energy retailer: you register in the app, set a move-in date, and we start supplying from there. If you ever want to stop, you close your account the same way.
It works like any normal electricity move-in or move-out. You close your Verdi Link account, and the next occupant simply registers a new one.

What does it cost the owners corporation?

There’s no capital outlay. Verdi Link funds, owns and maintains the system, so owners don’t pay for the equipment or its installation, and there’s no special levy to raise.
No. Participation is optional, lot by lot — each resident chooses whether to use MPPS power, so there’s no need for a whole-building commitment.
Verdi Link carries public liability cover during and after installation, and remains responsible for the system it owns. We’ll provide evidence of cover with your proposal.

Are partner numbers limited?

Yes. We work with a limited number of installation partners in each service area, so the pipeline of work stays worthwhile for the partners we bring on.
If a fault is traced back to the installation, the partner who did the work attends the site and rectifies it. We monitor system performance and will flag anything we pick up, but on-site service for installation issues sits with the installing partner.

Yes. If a customer you introduce goes ahead, you can earn a referral incentive on top of your installation work. The details are set out in your agreement.

What does it cost the project?

There’s no capital cost for the energy system itself — Verdi Link funds and owns it. Your side is providing roof space, coordinating the electrical design, and site access during construction.
For new developments, as early as possible — ideally in design or planning — so MPPS can be integrated efficiently rather than retrofitted. For existing buildings, any time; we assess and design to what’s already there.
No. Verdi Link owns and operates the system, so there’s nothing to transfer to buyers or the owners corporation. Residents simply register and use the energy.
